Is there a Beach at the Emerald Grande?

Emerald Grande offers a beach boat to take guests to and from our private beach, located across Destin Harbor.  Beach chairs and umbrellas are located on the pristine white sand and ready for you to enjoy.  Don’t forget to stock up on beverages and snacks at our convenient Marina Store in HarborWalk Village.

What is Emerald Grande's cancellation policy?

If a reservation is canceled before the final payment due date (which is two weeks before the arrival date), the advanced rental payment (which constitutes 50% of the rent) will be lost. If a reservation is canceled after the final payment due date, the full advance rental payments and any other payments or deposits will be forfeited. Any changes to the reservation must be requested before the final payment due date, as changes made after this date will not be allowed.

We highly recommend that you purchase the optional Red Sky Sun Trip Preserver travel insurance (link to information) to safeguard your vacation investment in case of unforeseen events such as sickness, injury, accidents, or involuntary termination of employment. This policy also covers cancellations due to mandatory evacuations for named hurricanes, road closures, and other covered events.

What do I need to check in at Emerald Grande?

To make your check-in process smooth and efficient, please have the following ready:

    • A valid photo ID and credit card for the person whose name the reservation is under.
    • Your car information and license plate number for parking registration (a photo of your license plate can be handy).
    • The names of all guests staying with you, as this information is required on the registration card.

What is the check-in process at Emerald Grande?

The check-in process involves a few simple steps:

  1. ID Check and Pre-Authorization: We will verify your ID and collect a pre-authorization on your credit card.
  2. Registration Form: You will fill out a registration form with the necessary details, including the names of all guests.
  3. Explanation of Amenities and Activities: Our staff will explain the amenities, activities, and parking information available at the resort.
  4. Wyndham Guests: If you are a Wyndham guest, we will direct you to the Wyndham concierge for further assistance.

 

Do I need to carry my luggage to my room?

No, you don’t need to carry your luggage. We offer full-service Bellman assistance. A Bellman can meet you at your car after you check in to help with your luggage.

Can I arrange for a Bellman to meet me at my car?

Yes, once you have completed the check-in process, you can arrange for a Bellman to meet you at your car to assist with your luggage.

Is there anything else I should know before arriving?

We recommend having all your information ready before arriving to ensure a smooth check-in process. This includes your photo ID, credit card, car information, and the names of all guests staying with you.

When are the festivals and big Events at HarborWalk Village?

HarborWalk Village hosts a variety of events throughout the year. There are two festivals a year– one in the Spring and one in the Fall.

Summer event programming, Memorial Day through Labor Day, features a Fat Tuesday Parades, weekly fireworks shows, live music and more!

Where can I find a current Map of HarborWalk Village?

Is there Live Music on the main stage and how can I get a schedule of who is playing?

It’s a party in the streets with live music celebrations frequently held on the village’s amphitheater-styled main stage. This outdoor, waterfront, venue hosts live shows and music performances throughout the year. When are Fireworks Shows Scheduled?

Fireworks shows light up the sky over the Destin Harbor directly behind HarborWalk Village and Emerald Grande every Thursday night during the summer. You may also see them on holidays such as Memorial Day Weekend, July 4th, Labor Day Weekend, and New Year’s Eve.

What makes weddings at Emerald Grande at HarborWalk Village unique?

Emerald Grande is unique because we are the only all-inclusive hotel-resort in Destin. Guests can come here and never leave our property. We have a full-service spa with a fitness center, charter fishing trips, watersports, golf courses, shopping, restaurants, weekly events at HarborWalk Village, fully equipped kitchens in every residence, and above all, the friendliest staff that will bend over backwards to make sure that every guest has a memorable experience. Our goal is to be your home away from home. We want you to kick back and relax. We can achieve that by providing everything on our property that you would need.

What venues do you offer for a ceremony?

Captains Deck: Up To 180 Guests

Sunset Deck: Up To 75 Guests

Private Beach: Up To 50 Guests

What venues do you offer for a reception?

HarborView Room: Up to 125 Guests

Grande Ballroom: Up to 180 Guests

Captain’s Deck: Up To 180 Guests

Sunset Deck: Up To 75 Guests

Sunset Terrace: Up To 40 Guests

What does the venue fee include and for how long?

The Venue Facility Fee includes:

  • Staffing & 1 Bartender
  • Glassware & China
  • Chairs & Tables
  • Linen & Napkins
  • Dance Floor
  • Rain Back-Up Plan
  • Cake Cutting Services
  • Rehearsal The Day Before
  • Complimentary Parking

For a Ceremony & Reception, venues are rented for 5 Hours which includes:

  • 30 Minutes for the Ceremony,
  • 1 Hour for Cocktail Hour
  •  3.5 Hours for Reception

Additional hours are available for $500 per hour. Outdoor receptions must conclude by 10:00PM.

Is there a rain back up venue?

All outside venues booked will have an indoor venue available in case of rain or inclement weather.

The rain back up venue will be what is available on the calendar unless a specific venue is paid and reserved for in advance.

Are your venues handicap accessible?

Yes– Emerald Grande and all of our venues are handicap accessible.

What packages does Emerald Grande Weddings offer?

Emerald Grande Weddings does not offer packages. We like to customize each wedding to the vision of the bride and groom.

Can I use my own vendors?

Yes. You are able to hire your own wedding vendors. We will also provide our Preferred Vendors List which features vendors that we work with on a regular basis.

How do I get my marriage license before the wedding?

Please visit the county clerk’s website for more details on getting your marriage license prior to the wedding. Please note there are specific requirements if you are a Florida resident. 

What is the process for moving forward and booking a wedding/special event?

The Emerald Grande Weddings Team will send over a contract for signature, along with the deposit information to be paid at signing via DocuSign. The initial deposit is the cost of the Ceremony & Reception Venues.

What are the payment requirements leading up to the wedding/special event?

The initial deposit is due at time of signing. The next payment, 50% of the final invoice, is due 60 days prior to the event date. Final payment is due 14 days prior to the event date. Any additional charges during the day of the wedding are due 1 week after the wedding date.

What is the cancellation policy?

All deposits and money paid to that date will not be refunded.

Weddings are allowed 1 change of date with no penalties.

Do you offer discounted accommodations for wedding guests?

Yes — Emerald Grande does extend special accommodation rates to those that book their wedding or special event with us.  These rates vary based on time of the year and holidays. Rates will be provided with a custom proposal based on date selected.

Is Emerald Grande a pet friendly resort?

Emerald Grande venues and guest areas do not allow pets on premises.

Do you have day of get ready room?

Our brides typically get ready in the condo they have booked with at Emerald Grande. The condo units are different sizes and are spacious enough to get ready in. 

What decorations does Emerald Grande offer and what are the restrictions?

Emerald Grande does not provide decorations.

 Restrictions on décor items: Candles must be in vases and no confetti or loose glitter is permitted.

Can I bring in my own catering?

All Food & Beverage must be provided by Emerald Grande Catering. No outside food & beverage is permitted in any venue spaces with the exception of custom wedding cakes and specialty desserts.

Can I do a menu tasting?

Yes, absolutely! We offer all of our booked couples a complimentary menu tasting. We recommend scheduling your tasting 4-5 months prior to the wedding, as it is also a great time to go over and confirm details.

Is there a Food & Beverage minimum?

Emerald Grande’s food minimum starts at $55 per guest. There is not a minimum that must be met for beverages.

What bar options are available?

Clients have the option to choose between a Cash Bar which the guests are responsible for paying for their own beverages or a Hosted Bar. The Hosted Bar is a pre-set amount towards bar selections.

Why is coordination a requirement for my wedding?

Professional coordination and planning guarantee a stress-free day for the Bride & Groom as well as friends & family. Please ask for our Emerald Grande Wedding Coordination to receive a breakdown of what the service entails.

Outside Coordinator & Planners are permitted but must be a professional service with a contract. Family members or friends are not allowed to coordinate the wedding.

What is the service charge & sales tax?

The service charge is 22% and is added to all services. Both the service change and the current state sales tax will be added to the final bill.

Is parking complimentary for my wedding/special event?

Yes– complimentary parking is available for all of your guests.

How can I schedule a tour to see Emerald Grande's venues?

Due to venue availability, all tours must be scheduled in advance by emailing [email protected] or calling us at 850.424.0622.

Do you offer any discounts on Venue Fees?

Yes– discounts are offered on Monday-Thursday weekday weddings. Based on the time of the year, we also discount Friday & Sunday weddings.

When are the free fireworks shows?

HarborWalk Village hosts free fireworks shows each Thursday in June, July, and through the second week of August in the Summer and  on Saturdays in the month of October.

Firework shows are also on the Sundays of Memorial & Labor Day.

Wedding Firework packages are available to purchase starting at $6,000.

Do you offer any transportation from the airport or to restaurants in the area?

Arrival Time

Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to ensure ample time for check-in and preparation for your treatment.

Cancellation Policy

We kindly request a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Late cancellations may incur a fee.

To maintain a serene atmosphere for all guests, we ask that you silence your electronic devices and keep noise to a minimum while in the spa area.

Gratuity

A 20% gratuity will be automatically added to your bill for spa services. Additional gratuities are at your discretion and greatly appreciated by our staff.
